Washington, D.C.– The buzz is intensifying about the first ever National Black Men's Convention coming to NW Washington D.C. Wednesday, April 18 through Sunday, April 22 at the Historic Shiloh Baptist Church 1500 9th Street NW Washington D.C. 20001.

Along with the 10,000 Black Men's March, scheduled for Saturday, April 21 at the White House, the upcoming significant convention is a follow-up to the historic 1995 Million Man March, which instructed Black men to continue to organize and take responsibility for their own plight. The 10,000 Black Men's March will convene under the themes "CONDEMN DONALD TRUMP" and "SAVE OUR SONS: STOP ✋ THE KILLING."

The controversial March on President Donald Trump's doorstep is expected to draw a massive crowd that will mark open a new political front in the effort to combat the vileness of Trump; whom at least 60% of all Americans believe to be racist, according to recent polls.

National Black Men's Convention and March goers are tackling core issues such as murder and killing, fatherhood support, racism and Donald Trump, police abuse, gentrification, self-defense, education, injustices in the court system and other national challenges facing Black men and our entire race. The entire Black family is welcome.

One of the keynote speakers, Dr. Cornel West says, "I am happy to support the call by Attorney Malik Z. Shabazz for his courageous stand against the racism and the extreme xenophobia of the Trump administration. For Black male leaders from all over America to come and collaborate to address our self-development, social and political crisis is admirable."

The five-day convention includes four individual daily national summits on education, finance, justice and politics, and reparations. The daughter of legendary human rights leader Malcolm X will conduct a book signing and speak on Friday, April 20. Keynote speeches will be delivered by Malik Zulu Shabazz, Esq., the convention host and National President of Black Lawyers for Justice; Dr. Cornel West, leading national author-activist from Harvard University, and Chairman Hashim Nzinga, leader of the New Black Panther Party for Self-Defense.

Also scheduled to speak are Howard University students, national college student movements, national anti-violence groups, Pastor Ted Sutton with Men Against Murder, leaders from the America Indian Movement, National Action Network (D.C.), NAACP, speakers from Black Lives Matter (Ferguson, Missouri; Baltimore, Maryland; Charlottesville, Virginia; Charleston, South Carolina; Sacramento, California) and other racial/police brutality battlegrounds that March organizers have magnified by President Donald Trump and his reckless and dangerous administration.

Convention Chairman Malik Zulu Shabazz, Esq. says "10,000 Black Men or 100,000 for that matter, will be on Donald Trump's doorstep Saturday, April 21 demanding his immediate resignation or removal from office. These 10,000 or more Black men and the entire family of oppressed persons in America will not only serve notice on Mr. Trump, they will moreover declare self-determination actions and subsequently announce a Declaration of Independence: Full and complete Reparations and compensation from the United States Government which has tortuously oppressed or otherwise manipulated Blacks since 1619."

Expected to support the anti-Trump effort are also members of the Congressional Black Caucus, Reverend Al Sharpton, Reverend Jesse Jackson and likely quarterback and national activist Colin Kaepernick.

Opening night April 18, at 5 pm Professor James Smalls, South African lead-educator Baba Buntu, Egyptologist Dr. Tony Browder and the best educators in the Black world will conduct a summit on "Education and Defining Black Manhood."

On day two, beginning at 5 pm, Thursday, April 19, a groundbreaking 5-year Black National Economic Plan is scheduled to be unveiled at the 5-day convention. Speakers include economic experts Dr. Boyce Watkins, Dr. Claude Anderson (by video), CEO Haki Shakur Ammi, CEO hotel owner Michael V. Roberts, and other financial experts. The groundbreaking plan will be endorsed by 100 national and regional organizations and serve as the collective model for Blacks in America and worldwide for the next five years.

Day three, Friday, April 20, beginning at noon, extensive workshops on mental health, fatherhood, child custody, finance, legal training, relationship counseling, self-defense, anger management, court and expungement issues, gentrification and other subjects critical to Black men will be offered.

Concluding on Sunday, April 22, the entire day will convene a "Reparations and Healing Summit" that will feature Dr. Leonard Jeffries, the American Institute for Human Rights, Moorish Science Temple, and a bevy of Reparations groups. Simultaneously workshops and speakers from all over America and the world will train and educate Black men and the entire Black family on critical survival subjects.

Author and Advocate Lisa Zarcone to be Featured on CUTV News Radio

SPRINGFIELD, MASSACHUSETTS, UNITED STATES, March 30, 2018 / — How amazing is it for a young girl to suffer horrid abuse at the hands of a mentally ill mother, then grow up to tell people “Whatever life gives you, just Embrace the Journey”! This is the kind of strength and positivity that make Lisa Zarcone a respected speaker, state representative for the National Association of Adult Survivors of Child Abuse (NAASCA), widely-read memoirist, and social media favorite.

Lisa published her book The Unspoken Truth in late 2016, and it hasn’t had a no-sale month yet. The book is available through all major online retailers and showcased in bookstores and libraries close to her Massachusetts home (like Amherst, North Hampton, Springfield and Great Barrington) and as far away as Lomita, California. It is Lisa Zarcone’s personal and raw story, told uniquely through her young voice, as seen through her disbelieving eyes. It is the burning account she had to write—as part of her own ongoing healing, and so others who suffered through such bizarre events would know they are not alone — and they can rise above it.

Raising awareness is very important to Lisa. She grew up at a time she refers to as the silent era, when mental illness and child abuse existed, but no one spoke of them. They were rarely identified nor reported by school officials. By telling her story, and hopefully getting the book into the hands of educators, counselors and colleges with psychiatric programs, she hopes to spread the word and extend its influence. Lisa has also raised awareness as a member of NAASCA, and as a speaker and blogger. She connects with others who have suffered similar tragedies, bonds with them, and passes out daily inspirations. Lisa currently has about 2000 followers on Facebook, and nearly double that number on Twitter. Her Amazon Author Central page (link above/below) also draws a lot of visitors.

During her troubled childhood, Lisa used her artistic talents to help her cope with what was going on. She drew pictures, and wrote (and still writes stories and poetry), and also found solace in nature. There’s a lovely part of her memoir that tells of a night outside under a pine tree, and how the cracklings around her lulled little Lisa to sleep.

Besides her writing career, Lisa has worked as a caregiver for children and adults with disabilities. In one lockdown facility for teens she taught journal writing an various art therapy programs. Lisa stepped away from the workforce to raise her two young grandchildren, one of whom (Phoebe) has inspired a new children’s book series. Part of what they will relate in their adventures, is that not all families are the same (some might be with a Memah) and that being different is okay.

Lisa’s mindset and determination ensure she will keep bringing things to light, help others understand and cope, and push ever forward. As one reviewer on her author page says “her ability to survive, as well as thrive from her silent world of treachery, truly is an incredible journey — filled with such inspiration and never-ending hope.”

CUTV News will feature author and advocate Lisa Zarcone in an interview with Jim Masters on April 3rd and Doug Llewelyn on April 10th at 11:00am EST.

University of Vermont Hosts North American Women’s and Gender Minorities Debate Championship

Debate tournament to honor and represent women and gender minorities will be held at the UVM this upcoming weekend

Events like this allow us to examine our differences, as well as our similarities and begin to investigate how to improve our interactions and promote equity in all spaces”

— Miranda Zigler

SOUTH BURLINGTON, VT , UNITED STATES, March 30, 2018 / — BURLINGTON, VT, 3/31-4/1 2018: Students from all over the country will be traveling to Vermont this weekend for a very special event. The Lawrence Debate Union, UVM’s debate team, is hosting this year’s North American Women’s and Gender Minorities Debate Championship, NAW*DC. The event will be held at Benedict Auditorium in Marsh Life Science both days. Saturday the event runs from 8 am to 6 pm and Sunday 8 am to 3 pm. The final, with the four top teams, will be held Sunday at 3.

Debate gives the opportunity for students from various backgrounds to discuss complicated and relevant topics. Everyone is given the same topic to address while individual teams are randomly assigned either ‘for’ or ‘against’ the topic. The arbitrary assignment of topic and position requires students to be informed on a wide range of subjects as well as understand the complexity of such topics.

NAW*DC is an exciting and unique event in the Debate community because it celebrates women and gender minorities, groups who are minorities in debate, and often are marginalized within the debate community. Only women and gender minorities will be debating at the tournament, and only women and gender minorities will be in positions of leadership. The event itself is a mark of progress as it gives focus to social issues while also asking important questions for this day and age. Has feminism successfully become intersectional? How has feminism changed after a year of Trump? What does a feminist future look like?

In addition, speakers who worked for same-sex marriage in Vermont will speak Sunday at 1 pm during the awards ceremony. NAW*DC is is proud to welcome Nina Beck and Stacy Jolles, who were one of the three plaintiff couples in the Baker v State of Vermont case seeking the right to same-gender marriage. As well as Beth Robinson, best known for her role in the Vermont freedom to marry struggle. She co-founded and led the Vermont Freedom to Marry Task Force through its fifteen-year effort to secure the freedom to marry for same-sex couples in Vermont. Along with her law partner Susan Murray and Mary Bonauto of Gay and Lesbian Advocates and Defenders, she represented three same-sex couples who sought marriage licenses from the State of Vermont in the landmark case of Baker v. State.

Myra Jean Myers of Operation Outcry to be Featured on CUTV News Radio

FLOWER MOUND, TEXAS, UNITED STATES, March 29, 2018 / — Myra Jean has a story to tell–and it’s one millions of women in America can associate with. Her story is about being coerced to have an abortion in 1973, and the various physical and emotional scars that left on her; scars that lasted as much as 25 years later. She put these thoughts and experiences into sworn testimony, articles, CDs and You Tube videos, and is now one of the key spokespersons for the nationwide organization Operation Outcry.

According to Myra Jean, members of the organization are expressing a moral outcry against their pain, shame and numbness, and the major lies about abortion: that it is not killing a baby, that it is safe, and it is okay. The organization is affiliated with The Justice Foundation, whose lawyers are arguing to overturn Roe V Wade and its companion case Doe V Bolton, a legal change that almost happened in 1992. Myra Jean and her supporters stress they would never have aborted if it had been illegal.

Operation Outcry women provide Legal Declaration of Testimony for Legislatures and Amicus Briefs in defense of pro-life legislation. They also refer women to a hotline, 866-482-LIFE for abortion recovery and offer help for women being coerced into abortion, CAFA (Center Against Forced Abortion). Together, they provide education (Truth that reveals the lies of abortion) and network with health providers, school counselors, police and others that offer healing in a time of great need.

Statistics vary by age, but it can be said that one in five women have experienced the impact of abortion by age 45. Myra Jean stresses that over 65% of those women say they were coerced; by a parent, a spouse/partner, employer, etc. From guilt, shame, and blame to tubal pregnancies and infertility, it can have devastating effects on women’s health and relationships. Operation Outcry is a forum for women and families who want to put an end to this. They are mobilizing women to speak out, advocate before the government, and preserve fundamental rights.

Myra Jean suffered greatly after the pregnancy of her sixth child ended in an abortion. She felt a crushing weight and knew, beyond a shadow of a doubt, “Oh, God I have murdered.” Taking responsibility freed her. She realized God understood, and had forgiven her, and she began to move forward. Her personal struggles are featured in the chapter “Oh, God, I have Murdered” of the book Broken Beyond Belief but not Beyond Faith, by John Dee Jeffries.

CUTV News will feature Myra Jean Myers on Monday April 2nd at 12 p. m. EST with Jim Masters and Monday April 9th at 12:00 p. m. EST with Doug Llewelyn.

Credit Czar for the United States of America and FICO Baron David Howe Applauds FierceCable and Questex for Remedy

Dr King An Injustice Anywhere

David Howe FICO GOAT SubscriberWise

David Howe, global Credit Czar and FICO Baron

Editor’s ‘defamation disaster’ is promptly corrected and credit magnate proclaims the good deed for all to know

Life is not meant to be easy, my child; but take courage – it can be delightful”

— George Bernard Shaw

WASHINGTON, DC, UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, March 27, 2018 / — SubscriberWise, the nation’s largest issuing CRA for the communications industry and the leading protector of children victimized by identity fraud, announced today the prompt and satisfactory remedy of a civil harm involving commercial defamation, false assertions, and a highly dehumanizing headline and depiction.

“Less than seventy-two hours ago I made a clear, loud, and very public demand to right a wrong,” stated David Howe, SubscriberWise founder and self-proclaimed USA Credit Czar ( “Not only for the commercial interests of a nationwide organization that today, directly or indirectly, impacts virtually every person in the USA, who has or who will apply for communications services involving a federally compliant credit product, but – MOST IMPORTANTLY – to forever be on the side of justice, tolerance, and dignity for all.

“Fierce’s Editor-in-Chief Mike Dano, he responded to my public demand with speed and contrition,” continued Howe. “Mike acknowledged to me that the initial story and image failed to meet the media outlet’s internal publication guidelines. He called to tell me that the headline and image were indeed retracted and revised.

“I sincerely appreciated hearing this news. I also am grateful for Mr. Dano’s candor and personal call.

“Today I want the record to reflect the Credit Czar’s genuine appreciation,” Howe affirmed.

“Yes, the story and the depiction were revised almost immediately after the public demand for correction was made,” Howe acknowledged. “Now, the headline and image accurately reflect the scientific and expert observations of SubscriberWise. To be more specific — observations, analysis, best practices, and award-winning business-rules-technology that span more than a decade and flow out of a highly complex and federally FCRA-regulated organization that is today a leading, necessary, and profoundly critical component of the U.S.A. elaborate credit and financial underwriting systems.

“A system, to be sure, that includes hundreds of thousands of federally regulated, score-driven, unbiased and objective decisions — impacting huge segments of the USA communications industry each and every year and delivering hundreds of millions of dollars in increased cash-flow, capital equipment mitigation, and quantifiable operational efficiencies for cable and telephone operators across this nation.

“On behalf of the Credit Czar’s ( and SubscriberWise’s industry colleagues, peers, friends, vendor and technology partners, and others — including executives and employees of the American Cable Association, the National Cable Television Cooperative, NTCA – The Rural Broadband Association, the Fair Isaac Corporation, Equifax, Experian, and TransUnion – as well as on behalf of the women and men who own and operate the nation’s communications companies, I thank Questek and FierceCable for their immediate and dramatic remedy of their initially hurtful and defamatory labeling that had the possibility to adversely impact myriads of customers — we and the organizations named above — collectively rely upon and proudly serve – directly or indirectly – each and every day.

“And finally…on behalf of a particular colleague and friend “Mike” who contacted me directly (listen: and who I believe was also personally impacted and harmed by the publications ‘defamation disaster’, here’s to you my friend.

“Yes, make no mistake, this is for you Mike…for your spouse…for your family…and for those you know and love. It's also for all other victims who may not have a voice anywhere and everywhere,” Credit Czar Howe concluded.

About David Howe and SubscriberWise

U.S. Credit Czar David Howe is the highest achieving credit scoring consumer in global banking and financial history ( since human beings started to count on their fingers. Howe intends to demystify consumer credit and credit scores for individuals everywhere by sharing his story and experiences. Credit and credit scores impact many areas of one's financial life. Excellent credit offers rewards and opportunities; adverse credit limits choices and costs real money.

Hearing the facts about credit scores from the only citizen of the world – living or deceased – to have
achieved simultaneous perfect FICO 850 scores across every national repository and simultaneous
perfect Vantage scores at Equifax, Experian, and TransUnion – as well as having obtained rankings in the
100th percentile across virtually every scoring model on the market is intended to empower and
encourage consumers who may be struggling with their credit and eager to get back on their feet.

Pursuing perfect credit is hardly the point and it shouldn't become an obsession; rather it is the fact that
it's possible. It requires patience and extremely careful financial maneuvers over a very long period. And
because no person can control life events, set-backs are inevitable. David Howe proves it's attainable
despite his own challenges and life events during his near half-century existence on planet earth. Howe
has literally invested decades with countless hours and thousands of dollars pursuing and mastering
personal credit and FICO scores in particular. The effort has paid off and has not gone unnoticed.

Howe's passion with credit and risk management can be found everywhere in the industry today. Today
SubscriberWise touches a U.S. consumer every minute of every hour of every day. In 2014,
SubscriberWise was named winner in the CableFAX Tech Awards in the category of commercial
software, among an incredibly competitive environment that was open to every MSO and tech vendor in
North America.

Having directly prevented more child identity thefts than any single individual including law
enforcement professionals nationwide, David Howe is recognized as one of the most productive and
engaged child identity theft experts of the 21st century. Howe’s expertise on the subject of identity theft
has been shared with virtually all levels of state and federal law enforcement agencies including field
agents from the FBI. In 2014, Howe was contacted by IBM’s RedCell Counter Fraud and Financial Crimes
Intelligence organization for training and information concerning child identity fraud. During his long career in telecommunications, Howe has exposed some of the most complex banking and financial crimes the U.S.A. has ever known or contemplated (

Despite being a dedicated and hard worker, Howe is a vagabond and minimalist who prefers to travel
from city to city – on a whim – and at his sole discretion; rarely an agenda and often no place in
particular. Howe is most contented with a simple existence, an eye on health and wellness, friends and
family, warm and sunny climates, and – most especially – a morning coffee and an afternoon imbibe of
red wine.

Howe holds an Associate and Bachelor of Arts degree from the College of Arts and Sciences at Kent State
University with an academic focus in human behavior at the macro level, political science, and public
administration. He is a member of Pi Gamma Mu, the country's oldest and preeminent honor society in
the social sciences and Alpha Kappa Delta, the international sociology honor society.

Howe was among the first professionals in the nation to obtain the FICO Professional Certification. Howe
was interviewed on the subject of perfect credit by and The Motley Fool and is the first
and only citizen of the world to describe the details of perfect FICO and Vantage scores to U.S. reporters.

Howe produced and published two videos on the subject of perfect credit: FICO 850 Credit Report Facts
and FICO Scores: The Facts.

Bipartisan U.S. Dignitaries Voice Support for Iranian People’s Call for Regime Change

NCRI U.S. Representative, Soona Samsami delivers message of hope for future of Iran

Ridge promises a bright future for Iran

Secretary Tom Ridge highlights the successes of previous year for free Iran

You see delegations from around the world standing in unity in support of the MEK and Madame Rajavi and a free and independent Iran, a tolerant Iran that enjoys the liberties and freedoms.”

— First Homeland Security Secretary, Tom Ridge

WASHINGTON, DC, DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA, U.S.A., March 27, 2018 / — Washington, DC – At a dinner reception at the Mayflower Hotel on March 23rd, marking the Iranian New Year or Nowruz, several bipartisan former senior U.S. officials spoke on the need for a firm policy to counter the Iranian regime’s malign activities in the Middle East, its pursuit of nuclear-capable ballistic missiles and its crackdown on Iranian citizens.

Members of the diplomatic corps in Washington, DC were also present at the event, which was organized by the U.S. Representative Office of the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI-US). Ms. Soona Samsami, the NCRI’s Washington Representative, pointed to the December and January uprisings in 142 cities across Iran as a watershed moment as the uprising continues. “On this new year, this new day, we are confident that the era of this detested theocracy is at an end. The horizon holds promise of the rise of a new, free, democratic, secular and a non-nuclear republic in Iran,” Samsami said.

Several of these notable political figures made remarks at the Nowruz celebration, declaring their support for change in Iran and expressing their desires for a brighter future on the occasion of the New Year.

The first Secretary for U.S. Homeland Security and former Governor of Pennsylvania Tom Ridge noted that with all the developments inside Iran, regionally and internationally, the prospects for regime change and the establishment of an independent, free, and democratic Iran are brighter than ever. “Think of the progress that has been made…those incredible rallies in Paris, France…and those people who showed their support internationally. Think of six or seven years ago and then fast forward and you see delegations from around the world standing in unity in support of the MEK and Madame Rajavi and a free and independent Iran, a tolerant Iran that enjoys the liberties and freedoms,” said Governor Ridge.

Former Democratic New Jersey Senator Robert Torricelli emphasized that “Each and every one of us commit this year to confront with the same determination as Mrs. Maryam Rajavi and every member of the MEK, who no matter what it takes, how long it takes, no matter how great the sacrifice, no matter how much the effort, that at long, long last the mullahs will fall, freedom will rise.”

Ambassador Lincoln Bloomfield Jr., former U.S. Assistant Secretary of State for Political-Military Affairs, stated “I’m here to salute and to thank the members of the National Council of Resistance of Iran, the members of the Mujahideen-e Khalq, and the brave citizens of Iran…. You are helping America to discover what we stand for as well. And for that, I will always be in your debt.”

Ambassador Robert Joseph, former Under Secretary of State for Arms Control and International Security, underlined the role of the Resistance in recent uprisings in Iran. “It is very important, I think, to note that the MEK is in the vanguard of the uprisings that we are witnessing and have been witnessing for the last number of months….Madam Rajavi plays an extremely important role by uniting the people of Iran, by providing incentives to those people, by providing inspiration to the people who are risking their lives for the freedom, not only of themselves and their families, but the freedom of all of the people of Iran,” he stated.

Mr. Kenneth Blackwell, former U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations Human Rights Commission, stressed, “If we are to make our contribution to freedom and to the recognition of the human dignity of others, we must not hide our special light under a bushel. I would just celebrate with you the fact that the MEK and those in the Diaspora have not hid their candle under a bushel, but they have used their candle to light other candles. Together we have rushed the darkness of our time and we have punched holes in the darkness. We have given hope.”

Others highlighted the bright future of Iran on the occasion of Nowruz, which traditionally marks a fresh start or new beginning for those that celebrate it. “This is a year of destiny for us and a year of destiny for Iran. Every year, every Nowruz we take one more step further in achieving the goal that we all share for the people of Iran, for the supporters of the MEK, for Madame Rajavi, to help restore democracy to Iran,” said former U.S. Ambassador to Morocco Marc Ginsberg.

Col. Wes Martin, the senior anti-terrorism and force protection officer for all coalition forces in Iraq, said “I want one big round of applause for the 2,500 people now living in Albania who struggled through Ashraf and Camp Liberty. Those people are our heroes. They endured the toughest of times and they showed us what the price of liberty is, and the fact that they were willing to pay it, and unfortunately 141 of them did pay it… They survived the toughest of times, like the people who are inside Iran right now. They have stood up and they said, ‘We’re going to right and we’re going to make a difference. And they are making a difference.’ The world is hearing them.”

“I salute all of the MEK residents in Albania and I want to wish each of you a happy Nowruz,” added Col. Tom Cantwell, the first commander of Camp Ashraf in 2003. “Indeed, it is a new year. It is a new year here in America with new government and new people in charge, and we hope that it means new policy and new relationship with Iran. And we hope that that includes a new relationship between the United States government and the Iranian resistance,” he said.

Prof. Ivan Sascha Sheehan, director, M.S. in Negotiations and Conflict Management program of the School of Public and International Affairs at the University of Baltimore added, “Every great freedom movement must eventually come to terms with the fact that to confront injustice, one must acknowledge that it exists. And every movement for freedom must put it on display for the world to see. Therefore, here in Washington, around the world, every believer in democracy and human rights should keep a close eye on Iran in the year ahead. Because it’s my firm conviction that with support from the international community, the Iranian people may finally achieve a new system of government that embraces not only democracy but also civil and political, religious and cultural liberty for Iranians of every demographic background.”

In addition to these remarks, renowned Iranian composer and conductor Mohammad Shams was joined by Behi and Afshari to perform a number of Iranian musical pieces while Uncle Nowruz, a traditional figure of the holiday, distributed Persian nuts to the guests.

These materials are being distributed by the National Council of Resistance of Iran-U.S. Representative Office. Additional information is on file with the Department of Justice, Washington, D.C.

Renowned Songwriter, Vocalist & Award-winning TV Producer Steph Carse’s “My Shining Hour” to Air on Upliftv for Easter

Steph Carse: My Shining Hour

Y i Count

Proceeds Raised Will Benefit Upliftv and anti-bullying charity YICOUNT

NASHVILLE, TN, USA, March 26, 2018 / — After a successful launch on Daystar, Juno-Nominated Male Vocalist of the Year STEPH CARSE is honored to share his personal story through the “My Shining Hour” TV event airing worldwide on Upliftv during the Easter season. “My Shining Hour” will air as both 30 and 60-minute specials daily from Tuesday March 27 thru Easter Sunday.

A short trailer for “My Shining Hour” is available on YouTube at

“There is an identity crisis in some of the kids today. Part of it could be due to lack of good role models at home or to broken families. Unfortunately for a lot of children their identity resides in social media,” Carse explains. “Bullying has a completely different impact in the lives of this young generation. We have to be aware that Cyber-bullying creates a no-safe place zone for our children. If they are being bullied through social media, for a lot of kids, social media follows them home. The brain is only about 80% developed in teens, making it no surprise that rational decisions can be hard to come by for adolescents. For the teen, most decisions are fueled by emotion and what ‘feels good’. It is crucial to help build character in this next generation. They need to know how awesome they really are and what they are capable of. This starts at home or through good role modeling.”

On the self-produced program, Carse shares the journey of his music career, which has taken him from the top of the charts, to living out of his car, to the recording of his new album “My Shining Hour”. Told through music and narrative, Carse takes viewers from Canada to the U.S., from Africa to Israel, sharing his inspirational personal story of music, restoration and discovering his true calling.

Always a champion of worthy causes, Carse co-wrote and performed the anthem "Reach Out," the official song for The American Red Cross and wrote and performed the title track for the album "Holiday Heroes" for The Special Olympics in Canada. The “Holiday Heroes” album generated over $2 million in net profit for The Special Olympics. Recently, Carse launched his Y i Count anti-bullying campaign to help this generation understand their true value, their potential, the power of words, and provide a platform to counteract the aftermath of bullying. “My Shining Hour” debuts the Y i Count theme song, “Awesome.”

As a songwriter, performer and recording artist, Carse has sold over half a million albums worldwide and received a 5-star review from Jerry Fink of The Las Vegas Sun for his 36-show run in Las Vegas. Known for his impeccable 4-octave vocal range, Carse’s story was also featured in the PBS Documentary “A Portrait of Steph Carse.” As a television producer, Carse won 5 awards from The Florida Motion Picture and Television Association, including Best Feature Film and Best Male Vocalist for the one-hour TV special “Reach Out” that he produced for PBS.

Praise for Carse’s work includes:

“A truly talented performer with a distinctive voice style and the vocal range to master any work he performs,” – Diane Bliss of PBS.

“The singing sensation with Oscar-winning good looks and a voice to match.” – Jason Buchanan of The New York Times.

“Steph’s voice and music convey a great passion for his art,” – Eric Schilling, 16-time GRAMMY Award winner.

My Shining Hour will air on Upliftv (all times Eastern):

Tuesday March 27 – 9:00am (1 hour), 8:30pm (30 min)
Wednesday March 28 – 11:00am (1 hour)

Targeting the public obsession with murder mystery is a sure fire hit when it comes to fundraising.

GRIMSBY, N.E. LINCS, UNITED KINGDOM, March 26, 2018 / — With detective fiction in the best seller lists since the early 1900s it’s easy to see why fundraisers turn to crime when it comes to events.

Targeting the public obsession with murder is a sure fire hit when it comes to fundraising – which could be why big charities such as MacMillan have taken the step of supplying a murder mystery fundraising pack two years in a row.

But what can small charities do to jump on the murder mystery bandwagon when they don’t have the marketing budget of a bigger national charities?

Quite a bit it seems. As help is at hand from one of the leading international murder mystery companies Red Herring Games.

“We’ve been helping fundraisers for over 10 years” Jo Smedley the Managing Director of the firm said. “We originally started the company after working with a local church youth group – so we know what people are looking for when it comes to small scale fundraising events.”

Red Herring Games are one of very few companies that supply murder mystery scripts without the need to buy in acting services.

“We realised that small scale fundraisers needed to shave upfront costs dramatically if they were going to raise any money hosting a murder mystery event.” Jo Smedley said. “Typical event managed murder mystery shows cost anything between £600 and £2000 per evening, and while it guarantees everyone a quality night’s entertainment, that figure puts a significant dent in the budget. Once you’ve factored in food, venue hire and the marketing, you need to raise an awful lot of money to make any donation to your chosen cause.”

“We looked at the numbers ourselves many years ago – and it’s the reason we decided to supply our event management services as script only too. A downloadable murder mystery script for fundraisers is just £49.99. So hosts have already saved between £550 and £1950 by doing it themselves.”

Red Herring Games have several different formats of script available and can cater for an audience of six right through to several hundred at a time. Each script is content rated to ensure you can pick the right storyline for your audience.

“I wouldn’t like to hazard a guess as to how much money has been raised through our scripts”. Jo Smedley said. “We sell hundreds each year and those charities who do come back to tell us about their events have sometimes raised thousands of pounds.”

Jo’s top tips when it comes to fundraising are:

Keep it Simple. It’s very easy to be fooled into thinking a big event will raise more money – sometimes the simpler the idea the more money you make. Don’t be flattered into organising something big. Just because other people are doing it – doesn’t mean it’ll necessarily raise you a lot of money.

Get sponsors. The more people you have supporting the upfront costs of the event – the more money you can make from event. Don’t be afraid to ask. Small donations from many businesses are often much easier to obtain than large donations from bigger businesses. If they can’t donate financially – ask them for raffle prizes.

Raise money on the night. Many fundraisers feel shy about asking for more money on the evening itself – don’t be. If your guests are there to support the charity – they expect to dig a bit deeper. Host a raffle, do a name card, play a game – anything that will bring in a little more money. Sometimes even just leaving a small donation jar on the table for loose change will net a few hundred.

If you’re interested in exploring murder mysteries to raise money – Red Herring Games have a three week email guide you can sign up to. AMCD Congratulates Ambassador John Bolton on his Appointment as National Security Advisor

Ambassador Bolton is an excellent choice for National Security Advisor.

WASHINGTON, DC, USA, March 26, 2018 / — The American Mideast Coalition for Democracy (AMCD) lends its full support and sends congratulations to Ambassador John Bolton on his recent appointment as National Security Advisor to President Donald Trump.

Ambassador Bolton combines extensive government and foreign policy experience with a refreshing candor and a willingness to entertain unorthodox positions on many issues. Like President Trump, Bolton is not easy to categorize, but is nonetheless highly pragmatic. Like Secretary of Defense Mattis, he is a student of history and like Secretary of State designate, Mike Pompeo, he has a deep and broad intellectual understanding of the competing forces and factions in the world today. He is a strategic thinker who takes the long view and this is exactly what is needed in a National Security Advisor.

“I think this is an excellent move on the part of President Trump,” stated AMCD advisor, Dr. Walid Phares, “Initially Ambassador Bolton would have been one of the logical choices for Secretary of State in view of his experience at the UN. But in the present circumstances as the US has been and is facing significant challenges worldwide from North Korea to Iran and still dealing with ISIS in addition to tensions with Russia, the choice of John Bolton for the national security advisor position is the right one. The White House and Congress both need him there at this particular junction.”

“This is the right appointment at the right time,” said AMCD President John Hajjar. “Having worked with Ambassador Bolton in the past, we know how effective he can be.”

“Concerning Lebanon, Ambassador Bolton was instrumental in getting UNSCR 1559 passed while he was at State Department,” added AMCD Co-Director Tom Harb. “He also pushed UNSCR 1701, but unfortunately, Lebanese politicians didn't live up to those resolutions to stand up against Iran.”

“Ambassador Bolton is the must have national security advisor who has the courage and ingenuity to fully implement the Trump foreign policy agenda,” said Iranian-American AMCD board member Hossein Khorram. “Ambassador Bolton's uncompromising position on preserving our liberties here at home is most remarkable. As to our foreign policy, Ambassador Bolton believes that America, a benevolent superpower, is capable of leading the world to peace and prosperity through strength.

"Ambassador Bolton correctly believes that we no longer can wait for the Iranian and North Korean existential threat to the United States to go away on its own," continued Mr. Khorram. "I congratulate President Trump for this courageous appointment."

“Out of the box policies John designed, such as the Proliferation Security Initiative, helped lay the groundwork for an international consensus against Iran and North Korea’s deadly WMD programs. Because of this work, John was co-nominated along with me for the Nobel Peace prize in 2006,” said AMCD advisor, Kenneth R. Timmerman. "Americans can sleep better at night knowing John will be helping the President to guide our nation through the challenges that face us. It is a great honor to support him as our national security advisor.”

AMCD will support Ambassador Bolton in every way possible as he works to advance the policies of President Donald Trump.
