10th Annual Together in Teal Event

The Together in Teal 5K event is meant to bring together people who are affected in some way by ovarian cancer. Plenty of people show up, and many don’t necessarily suffer from ovarian cancer themselves. Maybe they carry the genes or perhaps know someone who is affected by ovarian cancer. Regardless, the 5K Run/Walk to Break the Silence is a commemoration to those we love, lost, and remember. During the event, we all will share our experiences and celebrate the survivors of this disease.

Hosted by the Valley of the Sun Chapter, this year’s 5K event hopes to raise $75,000 in donations. Once you register, you can set up a personalized fundraising page, and your family and friends can easily join you in this noble cause.

More About NOCC

The National Ovarian Cancer Coalition fights tirelessly to spread awareness of and raise money for the cure of ovarian cancer. Well over 22,000 women are diagnosed with the disease each year in the United States alone, and of those, about 63% die each year. Founded in 1991, the NOCC aims to spread knowledge of the subtle symptoms of ovarian cancer, as no tests directly detect ovarian cancer. For more information, visit NOCC’s website.
