SAN LUIS OBISPO, CA, USA, October 15, 2020 / — Today, King David’s Masonic Lodge in conjunction with San Luis Coastal Education Foundation and StandStrong announces the start of the Laptop Drive which will run through November 8th, 2020 to provide help to less fortunate children and families in addressing the online education challenges.

“Throughout King David’s Lodge 150-year history, one of our primary missions has been the advancement of education. With the COVID-19 pandemic, we have all been strained, but none more so than the students and families of our school system with the rapid deployment of online education,” said Andrew Brown, Lodge Master at King David’s Lodge.

Positive Impact
“Ensuring all students have access to basic computing technology at home is one way we can help close the opportunity gap,” said Christine Robertson, Executive Director of San Luis Coastal Education Foundation. “In addition to meeting the immediate need, these donations show students that our community believes in them and wants to set them up for future success.”

According to Sandra Gresham, Director of Development and Communications for StandStrong, “Having these laptops will allow our survivors and their children to advance with their education, counseling and professional development that was not possible before. Everything is done online today. “
