Keynon Lake is the CEO and founder of My Daddy Taught Me That, is a non-profit, grassroots organization dedicated to teaching young men in the underserved communities of Asheville how to transition from adolescence to manhood, by focusing on good decision making, accepting responsibility, and being accountable for their actions.

“My Daddy Taught Me That is a program for any young man who wants to learn and do better,” says Lake. “The mindset is to help as many kids as we possibly can.”

A social worker with nearly 20 years of community involvement and outreach, Lake was inspired by his father Bennie Lake, one of the original Harlem Globetrotters, who himself dedicated his life to working with the youth as a social worker for more than 30 years.

“I've been working with kids my whole life and I have a deep passion for youth and kids,” says Lake. “It's also an opportunity for their voices to be heard; I probably learn more from them than they learn from me.”

My Daddy Taught Me That partners with schools, low-income housing developments, faith organizations and the juvenile court system to provide academic and emotional support to young men through tutoring, discussion groups, field trips and career training opportunities.

“We go to Carolina Panther football games and Charlotte Hornets basketball games, but we also marched across the Pettus bridge shoulder to shoulder with Jesse Jackson, Hillary Clinton and Cory Booker,” says Lake. “We have guest speakers from the US district attorney to the chief of police to a man who spent 18 years in prison for murder. We have women come to speak to our young men about how to treat women, how to be respectful, and how to practice safe sex.”

According to Lake, one of the biggest problems facing our country today is absent parents. There are nearly 16 million single parent families, the overwhelming majority of which are headed by single moms with no positive male role models or influences.

“We can’t allow these statistics to continue to grow,” says Lake. “Iron sharpens iron. We need to talk to men about stepping up and making a difference, the unwritten rules of being men: how to carry yourself, how to dress yourself, how to tie a tie. We need to create opportunities and put the youth in positions to be successful. If they can see it, they can achieve it.”

Courts Receive Wrong Facts Causing Major Errors In Divorce Case, San Mateo CA Superior Courts, Per Pubic Records

Court Orders Made For Two Related Cases With Out-of-Date Property Deeds From Husband Leave Wife Facing An Incorrect Trial

FOSTER CITY, CALIFORNIA, USA, December 30, 2020 /EINPresswire.com/ — ***Two fully related cases in San Mateo, California Superior Courts are using wrong facts and out-of-date property deeds, provided by a husband's attorney to the court, claiming they are current and correct. See FAM0126331. The husband of this 20-year marriage and his attorney also do not file a full list of marital assets, disclosures, values or income, as required. Facts in the declarations they make do not match the evidence they file. Instead, the husband and his attorney focus on the couple's two real estate properties owned throughout the marriage, claiming he should receive all property value, because the wife is trying to "steal" his share. It's not clear how this would be possible. Properties owned as Joint, as the husband's attorney claims in filings and in court, require each person to receive a 50% share, by law, unless there's evidence to show a separate share. The wife filed evidence asking for reimbursement of her large and separate down payment, per a Purchase Agreement and Title Report for their home in Foster City, California. But, the husband's attorney accuses the wife of using all false documents throughout the case, so that none of her evidence is accepted. Otherwise, properties are owned as Tenants-In-Common, which they were according to the public deeds filed by the husband for both properties. Then, the separate shares and their values have to be determined with evidence, and confirmed by the court. This wasn't done.

Instead, the husband denied his deed changes, and Trusts that held their separate shares. Therefore, the courts used incorrect facts for all rulings made at, and since an October 2016 trial for the same. This makes the court orders void of legal authority. Still, all court orders were carried out, primarily by the husband's attorney, and during the Mandatory Stays of three, First District Court of Appeals cases in California. In addition, all judges of San Mateo Superior Court are recused on the same matters due to bias and conflicts of interest, primarily from the incorrect facts supplied and still in use today. Based on the incorrect information, the husband, a successful career CFO, received almost all real estate and value, investments, income and assets from the marriage, then retired four years early living in a paid-off home. The wife left the marriage without real estate or much else, and without Spousal Support income to quality for a rental property as of 2021, while she faces a major trial for the property she lost.

The trial charges came from the husband's attorney claiming the wife tried to use her recovered name to "attempt" to steal his share of property. The wife used this name starting several years before the divorce, per evidence. The marriage was determined as putative or legally correct, and the couple stipulated they paid for the properties with community funds throughout the marriage. Therefore, her name would not be relevant. However, these accusations caused the courts to leave the wife without a legal name, unable to take a job, earn income, get a Federal ID or open a bank account. As of this press release, the cases continue in 2021 using the incorrect facts and out-of-date records, without corrections.

In late October 2020, NAN NE Regional Director Rev. Bartley convened a meeting with Newark, NJ Mayor Ras Baraka, Newark City Council Speaker Mildred Crump, and #BlackOutNewark, regarding President’s discrimination incident at Whole Foods Newark, NJ location. In that incident, President was wrongfully profiled, assaulted, and detained after being accused of shoplifting in that store. The shoplifting claims were later proven false. A Whole Foods spokesperson since admitted the search and detention violated company protocol. Upon further review, similar incidents of discrimination against consumers and employees of color at Whole Foods Markets located in Boston, Oakland, Charlotte, Connecticut, and Philadelphia.

In a response to the October 3, 2020 Whole Foods Newark incident and others, Reverend Sharpton’s National Action Network (NAN) stood with #BlackOutNewark, recently sending a formal letter to Whole Foods CEO John Mackey requesting a meeting to discuss systemic racial discrimination, and strategies for preventing similar conduct in the future. NAN argued the mistreatment of consumers and workers violates basic standards of justice and amounts to discrimination.

By playing several times game players will quickly be able to see how the things in Dan's life are influencing him and the impact of those influences.

Culture Overlord is an international video game that has been designed, developed, reviewed, and published during COVID-19. The game was designed in France at the beginning of the pandemic in March 2020. It was reviewed and tested in the Netherlands, U.K., and the U.S. in July 2020 and then revised, tested, and published at the headquarters of Jennifer Ann's Group in Brookhaven, Georgia in the U.S.

Bloomfield, NJ – The Italian American ONE VOICE Coalition (“IAOVC”), America’s largest independent Italian American anti-bias organization, reports on an extremely active past year and prepares for more activity in 2021 at defending Columbus and Italian American civil rights. It also recognizes the strong support – both with activism and financial backing – of Italian American organizations and individuals across the country.

“What a year it has been,” stated Dr. Manny Alfano, Founder and President of IAOVC. “We worked with Italian American groups and individuals across the country opposing the widespread attacks on Columbus statues, Columbus Day and Italian American civil rights. And, we are grateful for the strong participation and support of so many groups and people with their efforts and financial donations, especially our most recent Super Raffle. This support helps us plan for more activity in the New Year so we can continue to fund our legal, media, and advocacy activities.”

This past year saw IAOVC’s filing of a landmark federal litigation to defend Columbus as the iconic symbol of Italian Americans, and Italian American civil rights protection afforded by the 14th Amendment of the US Constitution. This case is ongoing and is expected to have far-reaching constitutional impact if IAOVC is successful.

During 2020, IAOVC was actively and directly involved with Italian American organizations and individuals across the USA in opposing the unprecedented attacks on Columbus statues that proliferated with the unrest after the George Floyd tragedy. IAOVC organized video conferences, webinars, petitions, participated in public hearing and utilized extensive social media venues to further its defense of Columbus and Italian American civil rights. Although many statues were toppled or removed, there were a number that were preserved, thanks to the efforts of Italian American groups and individuals supported by IAOVC.

Throughout the past year IAOVC secured significant nationwide visibility through its extensive media outreach campaigns. Andre DiMino, IAOVC Executive Board Member and spokesperson, made over 60 TV and radio appearances bringing IAOVC’s message to a diverse audience across the country.

With its mission to educate about verifiable facts, during 2020 IAOVC continued its initiative highlighting interesting facts about the Italian American experience in America with concise, interesting and fact-filled videos called “The ONE VOICE Minute” – with editions featuring Columbus and Italian American facts about holidays and events.

“We are planning a very active year for 2021,” commented DiMino. “We are pleased we had many more Italian American groups join our coalition as Organization Members in 2020 as well as many new individual members. Modular additions, tiny homes enable more Veterans to be served

STATESVILLE, NC, UNITED STATES, December 30, 2020 /EINPresswire.com/ — Purple Heart Homes (PHH) is pleased to announce that it is ending the 2020 calendar year with an unprecedented number of “Mission Completes”. With 166 projects completed this year, PHH has reached a total of 726 Veterans served!

During this year, PHH developed the capabilities to create modular additions and tiny homes, the addition of which enabled the charitable organization to provide home renovations and new tiny homes to this large number of service-connected disabled Veterans. Thanks to the generosity of partners and volunteers, these deserving Veterans from all eras are now living safely and more comfortably in their own homes.
